Dr. Marija Prekajski Đorđević, senior research associate. She graduated (2009) and finished PhD studies (2014) at the Faculty of Mining and Geology, Department of mineralogy and crystallography, University of Belgrade. Since 2009 she has permanently employed at the Institute of Nuclear Sciences Vinča at the Laboratory of materials. Marija’s scientific research is interdisciplinary – it involves the fields of crystallography, nanomaterials and biomaterials. Research activity is mostly focused on the synthesis, structural and microstructural characterization of new types of nanostructured materials; with different stoichiometry, shape and form in order to obtain different, tailored features, by using various synthesis procedures. She has published over 30 papers in SCI-listed journals, of which 24 in international journals with a high impact factor.
