Dr. Milica Pošarac-Marković

Dr. Milica Pošarac-Marković, Assistant Research Professor / Research Associate. Since 2006, she has been employed at the Materialс Science Laboratory of the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciencеs – National Institute of the Republic of Serbia, University of Belgrade. She graduated in 2004 from the Faculty of Physical Chemistry at the University of Belgrade. She enrolled in master’s studies at the Faculty of Physical Chemistry in 2006 and defended her master’s thesis in 2009. She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry and Chemical Technologies from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, in 2013. Her scientific research is focused on materials science, primarily related to selecting methods for the synthesis and processing of ceramic powders with nanometer-sized dimensions, as well as the structural and morphological characterization of these materials.

Her research also involves testing the thermal stability and mechanical properties of the synthesized ceramic materials and their composites, with the goal of applying these new materials in high-temperature environments and under conditions of cavitation wear. Dr. Milica Pošarac-Marković is a participant in the COST action (CA20126), “Network for Research, Innovation, and Product Development on Porous Semiconductors and Oxides” (NETPORE). As an author or co-author, she has contributed to the publication of 25 scientific papers in SCI journals and has delivered numerous presentations at both domestic and international conferences. Additionally, she has reviewed papers for international journals, including the Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Journal of Composite Materials, Science of Sintering, and Metallurgical and Materials Data.
