Dr. Jelena Erčić, Assistant Research Professor / Research Associate. She graduated in 2010 from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy at the University of Belgrade, where she also earned her PhD in 2018 at the Department of Chemical Engineering. Since 2011, she has been employed at the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences, an Institute of National Importance for the Republic of Serbia, University of Belgrade.
Her research focuses on materials science, particularly the synthesis and characterization of refractory materials and non-oxide ceramics. She has published 23 papers in SCI-listed journals and has participated in numerous national and international conferences. She is one of the inventors of a registered national patent. Dr. Erčić is involved in bilateral scientific collaboration projects between Serbia and Germany, Serbia and Slovakia, Serbia and Slovenia, and Serbia and India. She is listed among the top 10% of outstanding researchers holding the title of Research Associate in the field of natural-mathematical and medical sciences for the period 2018–2022, as recognized by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia.
